Happy Hounds Bath opened in 2016 and is proudly run by  Sue, Ian and our great team. Amber, Claire, Erin and Sally.

Here at Happy Hounds were a small dedicated team, and we can take the time to get to know every dog as an individual. We are a medium sized, family-run dog daycare with a lovely pack of around 15 dogs each day.

By keeping our numbers limited, we build genuine bonds with every dog, helping them feel relaxed, safe, and truly at home.  Our dogs attend at least one day each week, so they get to know us and each other very well.

Many of our owners tell us how their dogs start barking excitedly as soon as they realise they’re about to be dropped off for another fun day at Happy Hounds with their pals.

At Happy Hounds Bath, we provide a nurturing and safe environment for your dogs. Our dedicated team is committed to individualized attention. We love seeing each dog’s unique personality shine and watching them build strong friendships in their regular pack. Our aim is for every dog to see Happy Hounds as their second home.

Meet and Greet  We hold meet and greets every few weeks, typically on Saturday mornings. This gives your dog time to explore and helps us answer any questions you may have.

Important Information

Happy Hounds is licenced by South Gloucestershire Council,  achieving the maximum 5 star rating. We are also fully insured, and our whole team are dog first aid qualified and all are highly experienced.

Great Location

Located on a beautiful site just 5 minutes from the city of Bath, we are easily accessible from main access roads - making it convenient for clients to drop off and pick up their dogs to and from work.  Because of this, we don’t need to operate a fleet of vans collecting dogs around the city, which we believe helps in a small way, to keep Bath's air a little bit cleaner.

Opening Times

Open from 07.30

Although we officially open at 07.30, we're usually on site by 07.10 and youre more than welcome to drop off early if were on site.

Closing Time  17.30

We like to be locking up by 17.30, but the occasional late pick-up is fine.

Prices

£32 per full day

All dogs come at least one regular day each week, but we are very happy to swap days, or add days, subject to availability.

Space to Play and Relax

We have about an acre of grass where dogs can run and play to their hearts’ content. There’s also a shaded woodland area for peaceful downtime. Inside our cosy “dog house,” a log burner creates the perfect spot to snooze after a busy morning.

For outdoor fun, we offer tunnels, obstacles, a running track, sand pits, paddling pools, and plenty of toys—balls, frisbees, and ropes—for endless enrichment. (See our site map)

Strong Friendships

We facilitate a friendly environment where dogs can bond and socialize. Dogs often come to Happy Hounds for many years and develop great friendships with dogs and human alike.

Safe Secure Environment

Our site is secured by a 6' fence all around the site, and each morning we check the integrity of the fence to ensure nothing has damaged the fence. Rabbits and other animals can occasionally dig holes close to the fence and we need to be vigilant in finding and dealing with any damage to our fence.

The site plan shows all the different locations and features

The Dog House

The dog house is an insulated wooden building, full of sofas and dog beds for the dogs to relax. Double glazed and heated with our log burner.

Entrance Field

The entrance field as it sounds, is where the dogs arrive. We meet them here and they have time to settle greet their friends before entering the main field.

The Main Field

The main field is a large grass field with tunnels and kennels, platforms and obstacles. With balls, ropes, frisbees and paddling pools, this is the main area where dogs run and play.

Shaded Wooded Area

This is a lovely more quiet area where dogs can rest or dose in the shade of the trees. It remains cooler for much of the day.

Running Track

Its not really a running track, but the dogs love running and chasing around the perimeter of the main field.

Outdoor Kennel

The chill out kennel is located at the far end of the site, and provides shade and water for the dogs in the main field.

Long Grass Area

The dogs like running and rolling in the long grass area.
